On Sunday, UND Police Lt. Danny Weigel turned the flashing lights of his squad car on and surprised the people he pulled over with a different kind of ticket -- these ones were for the Keith Urban concert.
Weigel was joined by Kelsea Ballerini, a country music singer who was the opening act for Sunday night’s show at the Ralph Engelstad Arena. They visited K-9 officers Ben and Bear before handing out tickets.
Weigel said in a video the department posted on Facebook that the department tweeted at Ballerini and asked her to join them. Weigel said they gave out two free tickets provided by the arena, and Ballerini met with more than 10 fans.
The department posted the video on Twitter and Facebook and it’s been viewed nearly 9,000 times.
